Funny books or humor books and comics are probably the types of “book” most adolescents will read.

Adolescence is a period when the fantasy of childhood is still kept in the mind, but the fantasy begins to have different proportions and different topics. Witches and dragons are replaced with superheroes, detectives, battles, or romantic dreams. They keep alive fiction in the mind of the adolescent and can bring him close to language and reading.

The most obvious type of funny book is the comic. A comic may comprise graphic panels where suggestive images of the story are presented and where the characters speak to one another in word balloons, small speech blobs, and where additional commentary is found in a small text box.

The language used is simple and can be easily followed by all. Because the sentences are short, they are easy to understand.

The story is the most attractive part of these funny books. The story can include drama, mystery, crime, romance, comedy, and many more genres. But what makes comics alluring is that fantasy here knows no boundaries.

This is a genre known especially for its imaginative plots, for its characters that symbolize different aspects of the human persona, and for the values they represent. So, because of the different concepts presented there, the vocabulary is different so that it can capture the feeling of the story and the character.

A way to learn a language or even to perfect it is by reading funny, witty, and capturing stories. Funny books are a way to do this as it will capture your attention and learning will become easier.Even in management books, small comic strips are placed so that you can capture the idea more easily.

Language in itself is diverse and one word can easily be used to denote different feelings, and with the aid of images the words can be more easily understood and even memorized to be used by the reader himself in everyday conversation.

Funny books are a way to teach adolescents the English language and even stir up the passion for reading. Not all adolescents will read Catcher in the Rye, but Batman and Superman are international marketing figures and their stories influence many young people — by the story, the images, and even the language.

Also, these types of books can be found on all continents, different versions of the well-known American version can be found in Europe with the Franco-Belgian, British or Italian comics, or the mass invading Japanese comics, also known as manga. These are well-enjoyed and can be read by many people since English is an international language.

Funny books and comics provide a way for people to learn more about the world and to perfect their knowledge of the language.
